What better place to ask than the undisputed home of experts on such matters Smile Coworker is looking for a new full desktop setup. His folks are paying (budget around 500K) as its to keep in touch and see the new sprog on the webcam and such, so might as well buy new, but a basic system will be fine..

told him he can order from dell, order from Gmarket etc or hit up Yongsan and buy it in person. He likes the latter option. I'll be in tow and know my way around computers but have never bought one over here so looking for tips on:

1. Where specifically to go for a good deal. If theres somewhere we can call in English and sort things out, all the better.
2. What to ask for.
3. How much to expect to pay.

Replies or PMs appreciated, cheers

Let's see:

300,000 - 22' monitor
100,000 - Logitech webcam
That leaves 100,000 for the com...300,000 for that would be better.. Very Happy

120,000 for a 19" lcd frees up money.

why pay 100,000 for a webcam when you can get a no-name webcam for 30,000. My alphascan cam has works fine for me.

Webcam 15,000.

Monitor 150,000
Basic CPU setup 200,000
Midrange Graphics card upgrade (optional) 150,000.

500,000 should be heaps. Just go to Yongsan/Gangbyeon and pick out one of the systems there that they will build for you. Fair value and pretty much anyone can do it.

I have the business card of an English speaking tech at Gangbyeon. PM me for it if you want.
