Not sure if this should be here or in the other forum. I have been here for several years. I have had 4 different E2 visas with different schools. I cancelled each visa and left Korea. I returned on a new E2 visa. My ARC number was the same on each of those visas and it is the same now on my F2 visa.

For other people who have been year multiple years, has your ARC nuber changed or has it stayed the same?

Your birthday doesn't change. The 1st 6 numbers are your birthdate. I've got the same ARC number I had last year.

Different number now than I had in 2000. But since the "new" cards came out, I think numbers stay the same.

I have had the same number for my stay here and I have had different employers and different visas (E1, E2,E7) at different times.

In '97, my number was yymmdd-xxx-xxxx

Now, it's yymmdd-xxxxxxx.

The seven x digits are very different. The latter number has been the same for quite a few years now, even over different kinds of visas(E2/F2).

A call to KImmi can solve this amazing mystery. Shocked

Um, yes. Thanks for that profoundly astute observation.
