Need some help with a small contract interpretation

Here is part of the contract:
"Employee shall be entitled to a paid leave when school is not in session and Employee has completed the summer and winter English camps, as stated in Article 7."

Is this confusing because the length of paid leave isn't mentioned in number of days, or would you assume that the leave would be for the entirity of the vacation period, after camps are completed?

Don't assume anything....it sounds like it's the remainder of the vacation, but I'd nail down exact numbers before signing for sure. Imagine the worst case scenario.

Good advice.

It would be best to get the set number of days at least, and the employer can decide what days those will be.

If things are unclear in a contract, there is a good chance there is a reason for it.

It isn't a major problem, just make sure they have a minimum of paid vacation days. If it is less that 10 for the whole year, do not sign the contract.
