Anybody play this fps game?

I kinda like it and have been playing a little while... I am not ranked highly...

^.

but I would like to get better.. i maintain about a 1:1 kills/death ratio on wharehouse.......its not really very helpful...

I do much better on shark tail with 2:1 sometimes 3:1 ratio...

if there is anyone who plays and is not bad player, Id love to get some lessons/game time in... any pointers would be great..

The biggest problem is getting headshots... I use the shift key for straffing and occasionally the duck key... though it doesnt seem to help much...

I tend to use the ak-47.

my game name is 'NightWraith'

PS. I also like warrock if anyones into that....

You like Sudden Attack? Reminds me of BattleField from about 1993.

All I know is my kids are crazy about the game. Odd because I thought the game was restricted to 19+ or something.

its basically Counter Strike... I think you probably just need parents permission if under 19....

yeah I thought it might be a way I can hang out with some Korean guys and get to them without having to drink soju Smile

plus its kind of fun... if you are a CS fan and want to play for free Smile

I got an account from one of my kids. Don't remember the name. I play cs so I thought I'd be good at sudden attack, but the recoil is all different so it screws me up.

Might be able to give some pointers, but it would be mostly what carries over from cs (although that IS like 80% of the game).

I play CS: Source, it is much better. I use my friend's girlfriend's SA account, so PM me if you ever want to play a game.

But when I play Sudden Attack it feels more like an arcade shooter/browser Java game than an actual, solid shooter. It just doesn't have the appeal to me that CounterStrike used to, nor the other games I play online today (BF 2142, CS: Source, The Guild, Sins of the Solar Empire, Starcraft et cetera) have.

Maybe because I'm not a 14 year old Korean boy.

Actually I do prefer CS... however... S.A. is free, in all the PC Bangs and gives me something to do while I wait for my gf to finish work.

I used to love playing HL2 Source game: Day Of Defeat source. Loved it!

I tried CS Source but it seemed really different to CS, felt slower or something... never gave it a proper chance though...

If the CS source install file can fit on my 4gb USB then I could install it each time I go to the PC Bang I guess...

It's pretty great. A space RTS with a shallow learning curve, good graphics and it's great over LAN. I haven't played much of the single player yet but it seems promising so far--also, the story seems to be quite above average. I recommend giving it a go.

Oh, Day of Defeat. I played all the betas, and even hung out in the DoD IRC channel back in the late 90s when it was under production. I talked to the team quite a bit. I never knew it would get so big.

Now that Source is out I never got around to getting it until I picked up Source a few weeks ago... then realized that it costs an extra $5! Oh well, there are probably no Asian DoD: Source servers anyway.

DOD: Source was great.
there are some asia servers. I think. anyway I was playing a lot here in S.K. and my ping was pretty low.

if I have to stay in Korea another year I will upgrade and start playing at home.

Warrock is not bad... but I wish I could play some games with some English speakers... its not so fun without the jibes, comments etc etc...

Counterstrike 1.6 anyone? There's a gungame mod server in korea that I actually play a bit on. They have some weird knife and parachute mods too, makes it interesting if regular cs is too old and boring for ya.

Um, same as anywhere as far as I know. If you have ever owned half-life or cs you should be able to install cs from steam. If not, then yes you have to pay. I don't think it can be more than 10 bucks though.
