Ok, so the scrots where I work have gone from begging me to stay to begging me to leave. I have three months left of my contract and now they want me to leave in two months. Are they just trying to scam me out of my severance?

I have had very few probs with this company so I'm a bit confused. Let me pose the question another way: Has anyone ever left a contract early, at their employer's request AND received their severance?

I have asked my teachers to stay longer or leave earlier depending on our semester. I think at most, I asked a teacher to leave 1 month before their contract ended so that their departure lined up with our semester's end. I still gave her the bonus though.

They may have internal reasons.

You can always try to negotiate for 90% of your severance. They might take you up on your offer.

But get anything in writing (English and Korean and have the Korean checked by a friend) before you agree to leave early.
