I'm scheduled to get the hell out of Dodge on March 2nd after my contract ends on February 29th. Today I went down to the pension office and filed for my hard-earned refund. I supplied them all the relevant bank and personal information. Then the lady told me that the money should be deposited in my account by March 30th.

. . .March 30th? Does it normally take 6 weeks to get a pension refund?

That's kind of what I thought. Problem is -- and I've been afraid of this -- if a SNAFU occurs while I'm in America, I'm basically up sh!t creek. I don't trust my school with more than one red shipwon, so I'm crossing my fingers that at least NPS has its game together.

I leave March 2nd as well, and went to the pension office today.
She also told me the end of March.

Last year I was told it would take about a month, but it arrived 2.5 weeks later.

Maybe I'll see you at the airport. Smile

Look out for me. I'll be the big white guy. You'll know it's me because I'll be the one who looks happy to GTFO.

If you have an international ATM card, you can have it transferred into a Korean bank account, and withdraw it. It takes about 1 week.

I'm leaving march 4th and was told I'd have my refund about 2 weeks after I leave.
I was told you can no longer have your refund deposited into a Korean account.
