I'm posting this here because it's related to the job.

I was surfing the net and I just came across this website which offers the CELTA course.

They have a free test you can take online, it takes about 5 minutes, and at the end it gives you the result!

My result was IH level 7, CEF Level C1, Description: Advanced.

In other words my test result was the 2nd highest level, of a total of 8 levels.

Here it is:

(NO BASSEXPANDER THIS IS NOT AN ADVERT) Laughing

HHAHAHAH Don't get too happy my friend. I started the test for fun since my afternoon classes have been canceled. I got bored at staring at the screen so I just left the rest of the test blank and kept clicking continue. I only completed 3 out of 7 or 8 sections of the test and know what my results were??

IH level 7
CEF 1
ADVANCED

Ya....I bet my students would be advanced too eh..

I'm 99.9% sure I got every question right...

And same results. It's a scam for sure. I was hoping to see 'mastery'.

Scores:

--too low--> prospective applicants too discouraged (hopeless).
--too high--> prospective applicants too confident (presumptuous--presume they don't need the certification).
--current default scores-->deters the hopelessness factor and the overconfident factor-->leaves ya feeling good and knowing there's room for improvement. Laughing

I just tried the first time, and got the same results as everyone else.

Then tried again, answering every question with gibberish, and got the lowest possible score, so there is some degree of truth to the test.

Still probably a scam though Mad

It's not entirely disingenuous. I answered every question by either smacking random keys or copying/pasting "김치" and it returned a low score. Damn.

How is it possible that 김치 is wrong? 김치 is the answer to everything! I should have answered every question - even those where it isn't an option - with 김치.

Then, maybe, I would have been a MASTER! 똑똑하다!!!
