Just got my heating bill and it was double last months bill . . . I already sent off a big chunk of my paycheck to my home bank account. Does anyone know if you can pay your utility bills at the bank with an international credit card?
I already did a Dave's search and came up with nothing. My bank sucks and I'd like to avoid having to ask them.

I tried paying a gas bill with a Korean credit card a few years ago, and found it to be impossible. Cash/transfers only.

First of all, I think that you can, and second, just don't pay it until next month, they won't cut you off. I have forgotten/lost the bills etc for things on several occasions, they always keep providing service. A while ago I had milk delivered and forgot to pay it for several months - they still kept bringing milk every day. Cable tv sends me reminder text messages when I forget, but they keep sending out the cable signal.
Have no fear.
Also, for the record I do pay all my bills...eventually Embarassed

This may have changed because I notice that some of the bills have the logos down the side of which cards they accept. Can't recall which bills exactly though. Also I remember seeing a sign related to that at a bank lately, I think you can do it, but you probably have to take the bills in as opposed to using a machine. I could be wrong, too.

Nope you can't - cash only. Mobile phone (over the phone) no worries. That's my experience but I'm sure there will be those with a different 'experience'.

Thanks!
I've never been late on a bill here before, so wasn't sure what would happen. Get paid in two weeks, so maybe I'll just wait. Smile
Good to know, though, your experiences--knowing my bank, they'd look at me funny and say "no way" on the credit card thing anyway.
