If I bring my laptop and other electronic devices I have from the U.S. do I need to bring a couple of Wattage Converters with me? Do things plug in fine over there without getting fried or underpowered? |

depends on the device...
check out the black box on your ac adaptor, and check out the voltage...I think that korean voltage is somewhere around 220? maybe? anyway, I think that a lot of things, including computers, are fine....my computer from canada (same as the US) was fine, but u do need to get your hands on a little plug adapter, as the prongs are a different size in korea....they are cheap and not too hard to find! u just have to read what it says on your ac adaptor....beware though, i burned up computer speakers and a beard trimmer before i learned to read....the two things i burned up, didn't have an ac adaptor like a computer has so that was the problem...if it doesnt have that, then u probably need one!
hope that clears things up for ya a bit! haha |

Shorter answer:
If there's no black box on the power cord you need a converter.
If there is a box and the input goes up to 220v or higher then you're good. |

Not completely true, JustJohn. I know you gave the short answer, I just wanted to elaborate a bit more.
My shaver has no such black box, but the rating is 110-240v and it works just fine.
I think that rating is more important. All my small electronics that state they go up to Korean standards have been fine for years.
If the device STATES it goes up to 220 or 240, it will be fine with a new plug. If it doesn't state it, don't assume -- it probably won't work with an adapter. |

You need to know when to use "a" and when to use "an".
You also need to shrink your avatar-cold shower shrinkage time.
You are welcome. |
