I will go home in a couple of weeks, and waiting for me is my P4 2.0 Desktop.
If I was to take something home to upgrade it, what would you suggest?
In other words I do not want to lug a Computer case, but maybe I could get some advice on some internal mods.
If you can help, just quote ideas and I will search for them online or an Yongsan

Buy the parts at home.
You can't save enough here to justify buying the parts and risking damaging them in transit. |

p4 2ghz? You gotta be more specific you want us to give decent advice. We need to know the computer (processor, RAM, operating system, video card, Hard drive, optical drives, motherboard etc.) and what you use it for.
My wild guess at the best upgrade would be RAM. If it's a P4 2ghz there's a good chance it only has 512mb of RAM, and as long as the motherboard supports it you can put another 1GB in there for freakin cheap and it would make your computer seem a lot faster. |

You may find the prices cheaper in Oz...
Check out the following sites. They list the parts and prices...
www.qcgo.com.au
www.msy.com.au
You should find a bargain or two. Don't forget to convert the $.... |
