Is the report sealed? Can we look at it to see what it says? Or are we to deliver it sealed to immigration. And if it isn't sealed, how can immigration be sure it's not a forgery...I wonder if that will be the next big thing. Forged criminal record reports. Very Happy

I asked my local police agency to notarize mine. It didn't come sealed but it had a stamp of notary.

The record had the police department letterhead, my name, a big blank area in the middle and a purple ink stamp that says "Clear"

korean immigration accepted a document that was a stamped form from a county sheriff saying there was no record of me in their county records. it could have been from any county in the country. as long as its apostilled!!

I'm still waiting for my check to get back to me, it's the final document I need before I can send things off so I don't want hassles when it comes. I'm a South African, I know where to send it to be apostilled, but does it need to be notarized too? The Foreign Affairs dept says I can send as is, but are there problems with notarization when it comes to immigration etc?
