I've seen other posts regarding tattoos but nothing about piercings.
I have a nose piercing, just a small stud not a bullring or anything; will I need/be asked to remove it do you think?
It would be annoying to have to remove it for work each day but not a major hassle - just wondering whether or not it would be acceptable during class?
I'll be at a public school.
I've sent my pics etc. to get the job but it can't really be seen in them. |

It depends on how religious your bosses are. Piercing is definitely more acceptable than tattoos, and is readily available all across the country (at least in Seoul) but it would still get you a lot of strange questions. |

i agree...it depends on your boss. i have a nose stud also, and Director has never asked me to take it out. of course...in contrast, my friend has an eyebrow piercing and her boss asked her to take it out. she refused. said that if they were going to force her to take it out, then she would leave. you have leverage- they need you here. |

i have a nose piercing and my school haven't told me to take it out. when i first arrived at the school the kids were more curious about it and asked questions about it but not really the adults.
if the school asked me to take my nose stud out, i would have said its cultural as im indian.
just keep it small and you should be fine |

That kind of stuff is just , plain and simple, inappropriate. And, if you have to ask, well...that explains a lot. |
