...went through with the Criminal background check successfully, while here in Seoul please tell me what state you are from and how the hell you did it.

It seems the people who run the search agencies back home who answer the phone are dumber and more incompetent than I thought they were, or to be frank, quite rude and need a severe assbeating. God Bless America, land of the government operated by complete ttits. I say that with all sincerity.

I'm from Montana. For me I had to go online, pay 8 bucks and print it out. Very easily is you place it in context with other governmental services.

I feel for you man. Nothing aggravates me more then when I talk to two different people at the DMV and get two different answers! We need a lot less "government" in this country.

it's ridiculous.

I'm from Philadelphia. I call the district court, want to bypass all these internet services. I am transferred about 8 times to different people who keep telling me I need to talk to someone different. Then finally I am connected to the right person.

Her "Hello, adult probation services.."

Me "Yes, Hello, my name is X and I am calling from South Korea. I am calling in regards to a need for a criminal background check in order to obtain a working visa here."

Her "Okay,"

Me "And it needs to be not..."

Her "We don't notarize them."

Me "How can I get one notarized?"

Her "I told you, WE DON'T NOTARIZE THEM,"

Me "I'm really sorry, but.."

Her "AGAIN, SIR, WE DON'T NOTARIZE THEM!"

Me "You really don't need to yell at me lady."

Her "Well I told you three times."

Me "We'll if you want to chew on your lip and be a b.itch, go right ahead, just show some kindness to me okay?."

Needless to say she was quite pissed after I told her that. I'm so glad I left Philly. Some of the most absolute undesireable people. Afterwards, I called the Police Station in my home town.

Police "Media Police."

Me "Hello, I am calling from Seoul, South Korea, I need a criminal background check, notarized and apostiled.

Police "Yes, we can do that for you, but you have to come in person."

Me "I'm really sorry, but I am on the other side of the world."

Police "Well we can't help you then."

Me "How about if I give power of attorney to a family member?"

Police "You would have to speak to a lawyer then. I'm not a lawyer. I am a cop."

Me "I know. I know you are a cop. I gathered that when I called the police station expecting to speak to a police officer."

Police "Sorry I can't help you."

WHY? WHY? Why is this sooo frustrating? Why can't something so simple just happen without any headaches. It's ridiculous. I am beginning to feel as if I should say *beep* it. I'm out. I don't need this frustration. I don't need some C.unt on the phone in Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, to reem me out because she hates her life behind a desk processing criminal background checks for criminals. Something which I am not. This is ridiculous.

Then I called the Pennsylvania State Police.

Man "Hello, PA State Police."

Me "Hello, I am calling from Seoul, South Korea. I need information on a criminal background check, notarized and apostiled."

Man "Okay, we CAN get it notarized, but not apostiled. You need to go online, print out and fill out a form, then mail it back into us."

Me "The form online says you do not accept cash or checks."

Man "Money order."

Me "I am in Korea, I can't get a money order. It doesn't work like that here."

Man "Well your situation is very unique then, isn't it?"

Then he hangs up on me.

Again, I am questioning whether or not to even consider taking another job here in Korea. It's not worth it anymore.

I just called the Des Moines police office. They told me to send them a letter stating that I needed a police report and 15 dollars.

I got the police report in about 15 days after sending the letter from Korea.
