I left Korea in December. I went to the pension office to apply for my refund on December 18th and made arrangements to have it transferred to my bank account in Canada.
I haven't received my refund yet and was wondering if I should be concerned and if so, what can I do to inquire about the status of my refund? |

I'd be worried. Did you get any contact info/case number from the pension office? You should of..I always request it in case I don't see the money. No problems so far, always 2 or 3 weeks and it's there. I would contact the office and ask them what the hold up is. Perhaps your former employer didn't pay into the fund and bribed the official to forget about it. That's a long-shot but, in a civilized country...you can never tell. |
