The next time a Christian asks you why you don't believe, direct them to this website.

You should be ashamed of yourself. What if you hurt someone's feelings? That is very bad. Everyone should be made to feel good about themselves, or go to Hell.

These guys will visit you, if you are not careful.

Anyway, I think that threads of this type belong in the "Off-Topic" forum - it doesn't really deal with "living in Korea" issues ...

For someone who has been on this orum since 2003, I'm curious as to why you'd put this in the K-Chat forum instead of off-topic.

I agree. Sorry about that. But I don't know how to transfer it over to a different forum. Hopefully the mods will do that rather than simply deleting the thread, new as it might be.

Ah, I'm sure they'll just move it over there.

With such massive amounts of information (from a hundred different disciplines and fields) that totally destroy the bible's claims, how can anyone still believe it? It baffles me beyond words. It's like a child refusing to abandon his belief in Santa despite massive evidence that he's a fictional character. Holding onto belief in Yahweh, Allah, Jesus etc. is absolutely absurd given all that we know today. Sure, adults should be allowed to hold such beliefs, but (in my opinion) they should not be allowed to vote, hold public office, or be employed as teachers. Why is it that when an individual is delusional it's diagnosed as a mental illness requiring therapy. But when millions of people are delusional, it's called 'religion' and treated with great respect. Let's fund their schools, close our stores on their holy days, and elect them to Congress.

Religion has no place in the life of the educated citizen. Spirituality yes. A sense of awe at the splendour of the university, yes. Religion, no.

I would recommend forewarding the OP's attached website to any Christian friends any poster might have. I'd like to forward it to a hundred different CHristian websites. But then they'd have my email address, and my in-box will be flooded with "Jesus Loves You" / "You're gonna burn in hell" propaganda every day. Sad

It annoys me that many Western countries still fund 'faith based' schools. How are we to help the next generation move beyond religious superstition when, at the tax payer's expense, it is being passed down from generation to generation through faith-based schools. And in some US states creationism is still being taught in science class!!!!!!

Unfriginbelievable.

The bible is written by dozens of authors over hundreds of years. Of course not everything is going to mesh completely.

Hell, a single writer has trouble writing a single story without inconsistencies.

He can do anything, even contradict himself. So, kissing ass is the best bet since whim seems the ultimate standard of justice.

watch this vid.. explains the brutal plagiarism practices of the bible authors.

Bible stories are directly lifted from dozens of older mythologies.

Zeitgeist - The movie

The first part about religion is spectacular. The second part, dealing with bush blowing up WTC is retarded.
