geek tech meeting suggested here

Anyone up for this? clearly the location of choice would be Yongsan market, but other venues could be considered.

I'm thinking a Saturday would be the best option but don't want to choose a day until others chime in. I do think though it would be better if we got this off the ground before the new semester starts on February 26.

I'm definitely in for a Saturday get together. It'd be nice to meet up and have some good discussions. I'd be listening a lot and learning a lot too!

Yongsan is good for me. Any Saturday other than the 24th would be best. I could do the 24th, but couldn't stay very long as I've got a very long day planned for the 25th.

Time: any time is good, probably start around noonish I would guess so we could chat, shop, chat some more and have a good ole time!

Saturday's are great. Next Sat......I coullldddddd swing it, though, I would have cash on me if we wait until the 3rd or 4th week of Feb.

also, I agree with what (I think Superhero) was said (i.e. only a couple of people help out). That makes sense, though, the rest of us can just zip the lip while he buys (i could zip it). hehe.

Just so as not to mix the threads, I have been in touch with Yesterday via PM, so I think that issue is pretty much sorted.

As for the meeting, CL, if there is something you need to buy, then yeah, waiting is not an issue. The New Year is on the weekend of the 17th, so everything will be closed.

I guess next week or the following is best for me.

I'd prefer Saturday the 10th. I get paid on that Wednesday, so I can swing a short shopping trip out of it too. I need a new mouse and an optical drive.

Anyway, that's just my vote. If everyone else wants next weekend, I can do it. I guess two trips to Yongsan would be fun!

I added a poll for the date. I included this coming weekend, the following weekend and skipped the holiday weekend as most shops will be closed anyhow and/or peole will have family commitments.

I voted for this coming saturday february 3. I suggest that we set a meeting time of around 11:00 or 12:00 and arrange a place - starbucks is probably best. If you have a different location let's talk.

I put in my vote for the coming weekend, as that would just be most comfortable. I am flexible though.

It seems like someone simply has to choose a firm date. The 3rd seems quite do-able (sorry kprrok if that means another trip), so what about just laying that down as the day?
