|
|
I had gotten several PMs and emails from friends, fans and well-wishers who is looking at life post-Korea.
And one of them asked about Vietnam......
The one thing I can see as the down-side to working there is that the wage is calculated hourly--- which sounds like Direct English and English Channel in that a teacher is paid for each class they actually teach and they lose payment if a student or group of students cancels out.
And on the cultural side, shopowners (I've heard) tend to charge foreign customers double what a Vietnamese would pay for stuff (kinda' like culturally ripping them off)
But again, I could be wrong (and if I am, I am willing to get the person who proves me wrong a free round of beer, on me, with a healthy helping of Som Gyup Ssal).....so is there anyone who had taught or worked in V-land for any length of time that can tell me and others what its truly like to work there? |

yeah they will probably charge you double the price however it is still rather cheap compared to South Korea or Japan. I am Vietnamese Australian born and they charge me more as well as they view all "western countries" as affluent. You can always bargain too, which is expected from them. |

I'd imagine both places would be difficult for someone on a Kosher diet. |

Hehehe.....
Only kosher in spirit, not appetite, bro'......
As for food, I'm all game......
To me, kosher is a pop word I throw around like groovy and far-out.......something I picked up from a jerkoff from Manhattan..
Are FTs/ETs seen as burdens in VN as they are seen in SK?
Whats the cost of living like for someone who makes between $1600 to $2000 a month?

It has been my experience that "FT's/ET's" are viewed in an opposite light here in Korea. certainly, I do not "burden" anyone. |
