What exactly do I need to have in my hand when I walk into the consulate in Taipei? My school gave me some papers, but I want to double check that I have the right ones before I get on the plane.

Also, where the heck does one find this information? I have been looking for a couple of days.

Thanks Smile

I assume you are EXEMPT from the consular interview in your home country because you have had an E2 previously?

You need your confirmation number, CRC, medical "SELF ASSESSMENT" passport size photo, 60k won in local currency, application and your passport.

The CRC may require an apostille or embassy notarization (if you are Canadian).

If you have NOT has an E2 previously, let us know how you made out.

If you're wondering, the consulate is in the office park area just NW of the Taipei 101 building.

If you sweet talk the consular worker, you may be able to get your visa same day. When I went there weren't more than 10 visas being processed that day.

Thanks for your help! I don't even know what a CRC is.... darn.

I was given some forms and told what I have is all I need to have... and I am pretty sure it's not complete. I had to leave the country anyway cuz my visa expires.

Application????? Oh, I hope they have those there.

I know, I am really prepared, aren't I?

Do you have a notarized and/or apostilled criminal record check (CRC) from your home state or the FBI?
