I just thought I'd put out an actual success story (America) since it seems some people have or have had problems.
Doing the criminal background check in Korea wasn't easy at first. The hardest part was figuring out where to go to get them done.... for me, the place I was supposed to go to was the Gangnamgu police box. It's the one by the DMV off the Samsung station exit 8.
They were great there. Very kind, thorough... a little slow, but maybe it was because they were so thorough.
When I got them done, I sent them to the FBI as instructed on their website and I got the CRB back in a month.
I haven't done the apostille or notary yet, but I just thought I'd let people know that it's possible to get it done from over here and the FBI is on the ball.

I'd like to know the answer, too.
Thanks.
