http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20080220/poll_story_080221/20080221?hub=Politics

Conservatives 39%
Liberals 27%
NDP 12%
Green 12%

The Liberals constant abstentions must have pushed the Tories ahead. It's true what they say, Canadians prefer a real Tory to a Tory-lite(think Mulroney v. Turner). With the Afghanistan issue settled(the Liberals are now accepting 2011 as an end date) and the Grits willing to let the budget pass through, I can only see the prospects of a Conservative majority growing.

Interesting to note, on every issue mentioned in the poll(from military to economy), the Tories maintain a large lead on the Liberals. In addition, Harper's popularity is 40% compared to 15% for Dion.

Just one poll, others have it closer, but interesting nonetheless.

Wow so the Tories are proving themselves not to be right wing Christian demagogues and show they're capable of running a nation? I'll have to see for myself next week.
