I'm going to Japan a week from tomorrow. Is it possible to find a RT ticket for under 500k won? I've searched expedia, travelocity, etc, and the closest I can seem to find is around $750. |

You can fly to Macau for 230 dollars return from Busan with Viva Macau. But that is a whole new story. |

Try a Korean travel agent. |

I settled on booking from www.whypaymore.co.kr. Got a RT from Busan to Tokyo for 340k won. Not too shabby! |

Got any more information on Viva Macau?
I could only get their website , which just seems to have domestic fares.

It has been awhile since I have been to Macau--I would love to get there again. |

It seems that they have stopped the Busan route. It must have not been popular or maybe the Korean airline Mafia didn't like somebody stomping on their ground. Shame as I thought budget priced whoring and gambling trips would have been the flavour of the day in these parts. |

Yeah it does seem Viva Macau has pulled out.
It is incredible why so many 1 and 2 hour flights should now cost $500 US dollars and upwards.
It actively discourages foreigners from entering Korea and Koreans from leaving which is I suppose what the Korean authorities want. |

Yes. I used to travel all the time when I lived in Taiwan. And just a few years ago I would travel around the region here for about $300. Now it is just not worth taking a trip around the region. I just go home to the States--not much more airfare!
Is there anything regarding Korea that didn't get WORSE in the past few years? |
