So, I'll be heading up to Seoul for the first time the weekend after next and I've heard from an ex-FT that there's an excellent Deli (maybe more than one) in Seoul, which I'd like to check out.

If you happen to know where it is/they are etc, is there any chance that you could post up some directions/subway stop info?

Thanks in advance.

Two in Itaewon.

One is kind of below the Wolfhound pub, and the other is on the corner of the same street.

If you leave Itaewon station, and head toward Gecko's, keep going and you'll hit a street on your right. On the corner of that road straight ahead of you is a delicatessen, and if you turn down the road, you'll eventually hit the Wolfhound pub on your right, and the other deli is kind of underneath.

No,
I tried bacon and eggs there a year ago and it made me reach for the
alcaseltzer.
I'm sorry but almost without exception all the foreign food places
here are amateurish. I wait for my trip to Thailand to get deli.

very very very limited and poor food selection, massivly overpriced, etc etc

but,all there is ,really.
so who said they were good?
think they are owned by same guy, Shocked *chef* Shocked meli..he has a restaurant too, again overpriced tiny portions, sad korean child like staff .
anywhere else in the world, invisible and ashamed..here,well, he gets interviews in national press.

No, he was a Kiwi who's just gone home after spending 2-years out here. He really raved about it. Said whenever he visited Seoul he always came away with a big bag of nice ham, loads of different types of Cheese and European sausage etc.

From the post so far, it doesn't sound like the place he was talking about.

Hi
Your friend might have been meaning the Deli at Hannam Market. Has loads of imported meat/cheese etc. Pricy though.
