Alright so I noticed my kids, even the older kids, are manic about collecting these frog soldier pictures. Took me a while to figure out where they were getting them. But in Korea, if you want to know what your kids are into, simply look at the trash they toss without a single thought onto the street:
Ah so they're buying these little bread products from Shany and getting the stickers.
Now I'm thinking, what kind of gold mine has Shany stumbled on. Basically it's a 500 won pastry:
Then I guess there are common stickers and rare stickers. So much like that card game Magic: The Addiction, you get people buying like mad to get the rarer stickers. Costs maybe a penny to toss the sticker into the bag. And kids will buy the things hand over fist. Whatever marketing genius proposed this at Shany I hope is getting his just rewards. (This is a Korean company so that might mean he gets to move from an open desk to a desk near a wall... or maybe gets 3 days of vacation instead of 2 days.)
The official shany site. Warning opens up and plays some gay music:

| oh man...one of my students gave me one of those stickers. a few days later, i showed it to a different class and immediately got swarmed by 4 of the manically crazed demon children. i slipped it into my pocket before they got to me. two of them latched onto my arm while the other two worked on prying open my hand. later, i had some fun by pretending to hide it on top of the aircon, which is way above their reach. they were jumping off chairs and swinging their jackets trying to sweep the top of the aircon. i can't believe how crazy they are for those things. |

My experience exactly. Some girl gave me one and I put it on my textbook. Not even thinking about it. When kids in another class noticed I too was swarmed by the bastards. |

Notice the healthy snack my student's mother has packed:
This is a girl in grade 3. She had two of those Shany breads, 1 bottle of crunky chocolate balls, and a thing of chocolate milk.
