I'm confused and need some clarification. Here is my situation:
My current contract expires on Feb. 29. (I have been at the same hagwon for 2 years).
My visa expires May 8.
I have found a new job and want to transfer my visa but the job doesn't begin until June.
I am leaving the country on March 11 to travel SE Asia for 3 months.
Can I go to immigration office on March 10 (within 60 days of current expiration) with all necessary paperwork (letter of release, diploma, transcripts, new contract, etc) and have my visa transferred to my new employer? If so, will I still have to go back the the States for the CBC and medical? Or will I be good to go?
And If I am good to go now, what happens next year when my visa expires (either in March or May) and I still have a month remaining on my contract? Can I get an extension then or will I have to do all the CBC stuff with only a month to go?
Thanks. |
