Can someone give me an idea of how much I should expect to pay? Insurance rates? |

A nice lambourghini runs about $600,000. Not really sure about insurance on it. I guess it really depends what you are looking for. |

I have an older Korean car, and my insurance runs around 450,000 for liability only for the year. It is a Korean "sports car" . Mind you that it has been worked and is actually quite fast. The insurance company doesn't know that though.
Your best bet might be to grab a car off a foreigner leaving the country to get a good price on the actual car. The insurance isn't going to vary too much, especially for liability only. If you want full coverage; then the make model and age factor into the equation. |

I bought a new Hyundai last summer. Total cost (after credit discounts) was 11.3M for a diesel 1.5L click registered to my name.
Insurance was 580k
That was it, pretty cheap overall.

It depends on the car and how old it is. Insurance for my wife and I costs 650 000 and that is full coverage. Insurance gets cheaper the longer you have been here. Our original insurance was almost 1 000 000 Won. |

Insurance will be cheaper if you're over 28. Under 28 and you're going to pay a lot more. It also depends on if you're going to be the only driver or not. That means no lending your car to your friends unless they are willing to pay for any fines/accidents they may get.
FYI: Korean insurance includes "AAA" coverage, which means if you need a tow or run out of gas, you can call your insurance company and they'll take care of it. |
