Does anyone know where I can find out how much customs and taxes would be on new clothing shipped to Korea from the U.S.? Specifically, if it was about $200 in clothing, do you know how much I would have to pay? Or would it be better to have it shipped to my daughter and then have her take tags off and ship to me? Thanks.

I've done both. Had it shipped to someone in the US, tags removed, then sent to me w/o invoices. I've heard that you don't have to worry--unless it's over $100, they usually don't bother with duty. However, I recently had $150 order of mostly books sent directly from Amazon and they didn't do anything about it--no duty. Couldn't tell if it was opened or not. Also had a co-worker who ordered clothes over $100 and they had no problems/duty. As far as how much they'd charge if they did choose to, sorry I don't know. I don't think you really need to worry about it, but having someone stateside send it to you is the 'safest bet'.

I shop online internationally, keep your orders, postage and packing to $150 (max) and you wont pay customs/duties/taxes. Break up your orders if over $150 and interspace online orders by a day or two, else it will be delivered together or customs Korea will clump orders together and require receiver to pay customs.
