I used shoestring travel recently (shoestring.co.kr) and they did a really great job.... I bought a ticket to Bangkok and then needed to cancel it and buy a new ticket to a different destination. Time was a factor and they were really efficient and accommodating about getting the ticket/refund done the way I wanted and within the time I needed it done. I dealt with Amy Lee, whose English is great. too!
Highly recommended. |

Just another opinion, I'm not looking for a Dave's ESL argument.
I went through (or tried to!) Amy Lee for a trip to Taipei a little while ago. I booked a ticket a few months in advance and she said I couldn't pay until a few weeks before the trip, but didn't say when I would be able to pay, just that she would contact me. It slipped my mind (the paying, I had a lot of other things on my plate, not the trip) I got a text message from her on a Friday morning at 10am saying that I needed to pay by Monday morning, or my reservation would be canceled.
I was annoyed that she only gave me the weekend notice, but I made arrangements to go there on Saturday and pay her, and called her at 3pm on Friday, when I was done work. At that point she told me that my reservation had been canceled because I took so long to pay. I asked her about the text message I had received mere hours earlier, and she said nevermind, the ticket was gone.
I still haven't been to Taipei. |

When I was trying to find tickets to go to Canada for 6 months, I went to shoestring travel since I had read good comments about them, but they didn't do such a good job. I can't remember the name of the girl who served me, but she made mistakes (with an "s") with the reservations and I later found out tat I could get a much better price at other places. So, I cancelled with shoestring travel and found myself exactly what I wanted and at a much better price. |

Chalk me up for another good experience with shoestring.
Gave me lots of different reservation options and had no problems with paying (tis quite easy to do bank transfers in the land of the morning calm)
I needed a receipt for my employer several months later and I e-mailed them. They had it to me within an hour.
I would use them again. |
