i have a Brazilian friend who is a singer. He is looking for someone who knows how to play guitar very well and would like to pair up with him to look for gigs in and around seoul.
he is particularly interested in singing brazilian music (MPB: musica popular brasileira), so if you are capable of learning how to play it or know how to play this type of music, please get in touch.
thanks |

Everyone plays guitar. I'm decent enough that I could probably learn whatever it is your friend wants but I'm too far outside Seoul for it to be worth my time, even though it sounds fun. Best of luck. |

Here's something to consider: anyone on an e2 visa is committing a crime if they get paid for any work outside the contract. Just a thought. |

I didn't mean to come across in any bad way. It's just not the time to go into something like this without knowing what could happen. A little information can go a long way. |

unfortunately yes.
ANY monies received by e2s outside of their allotted pay and what the contract allows is considered illegal.
Rule by law.
The cops would have to have a REAL boner for charing you with it. But yes, technically it's illegal.....
I'm 99% certain. |

My contract says you can do whatever you want if you okay it with the principal. |

yeah i thought that you just had to ask the director of the school
cuz playing shows is incredibly fun and...not being able to do that for a year would not be fun
can you host benefit shows in your little one room office TEL apartments? |

yeah, but you also have to get that "OK" okayed by immigration.
But just about every F series visa holder I've met can play some sort of musical instrument. Go down to Haebong Chon and hang around the pubs there until you find one. |
