|
|
I had a crown put in a year and a half ago after a root canal. It seems it's a bit loose now. It's been sensitive in that area for a while now, and tonight while eating some pizza, a piece of the food kind of went up and inside it. It's still there, but I think it needs some more adhesive? Or something? The crown itself isn't broken or anything, so I don't need a new one made. Perhaps just taken off, cleaned out, and put back in fresh.
Anyone had this done before? Know of the costs? I'd like to get it done before I leave for home in a week, where I don't have insurance.
Thanks!

I don't have any answer for you, but I do have a question.
Did you/do you have dreams of your crown falling out or getting loose every so often?
I still do |

I have an excellent prosthodontist from Several Dental Hospital (attached to Severance Hospital where the Foreigners Clinic is) in Sinchon.
PM me if you'd like his number - his E is excellent by the way.
as for cost, I can't say for sure but they are always very reasonable - you can always ask beforehand - I'd guesstimate less than 50,000 if it doesn't need replacing |

No, I don't, but I might now!
See, what happened was, a couple of months ago I was eating some skittles that my kids gave me. So I was chewing, and heard kind of a pop - and I freaked and thought my crown came out. Ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, but it was still in there. Just felt odd. So for the past few months I can still eat normally, but it's extremely sensitive to cold now, likely because the adhesive isn't really holding down the edges now. Does that make sense? Anyway, eating pizza tonight, I felt a piece kinda go up and inside, but I got it out and the crown is still in there but ever so slightly wiggly. I want to get it fixed, and I only have this week left, so would like to know roughly how much I'm looking at. I feel as though I just need it re-cemented.
ANYONE have a rough estimate? |

'Trueden' in Ilsan above Burger King, was good. The dentist trained in Chicago, & his English is great. You're probably looking at around 300,000 won for repair of one tooth, with porcelain crowns. Much cheaper than it would have been in Australia. |

Yes, I would like any and all suggestions please!
Does he have a phone number where I can call and get a rough guesstimate of price before I go? Thanks! |

The crown that is in my mouth is fine, just loose.
Don't need a new crown, just need it re-stuck in there. |

Thanks Chris_J2.
I wish more of those dentist had locations listed.
I went on the one website that was listed, and they had an online place where you could pose questions, but I couldn't get mind to post. Uggh.
I mean, how much could it cost for some cement? haha |

Ok, there is a site there for a Ye dental near Gwanghwamun station. I will be in that area to go to immigration this week anyway.
Has anyone been to this place, and are they any good? |

I had a crown come off about a year ago. The dentist stuck it back on without any problems. However, I also had a crown taken off because it had been put on crooked. This required the dentist to cut it off, which meant it was thrown away and a new one made.
I am not sure what the options will be if there is food stuck underneath. Anyway, I would suggest you seek more than one opinion if the dentist wants to completely remove it. |
