i've read some sites saying that there are no required shots to get, however they've recommended a few depending on what kinds of areas you're going to.
-bangkok (i figure nothing is recommended)
-lopburi...the town with the monkeys (i've had contact with semi wild primates before and don't remember getting a shot then, but anyone who's been there or heard something about it think i should get a rabies shot? i've heard they're more painful, so i'd rather not)
-koh tao (it's a small island, not a ton of tourism)
-khao yai national park (malaria meds?) |

None necessary. Don't try to touch monkeys or feed them by hand, they will bite you. |

Khao Yai has no malaria.
Don't touch the monkeys. Don't feed the monkeys. Keep well away from the agressive sh1ts.
You are as much at risk here as you are there.
Biggest problem in wet season is dengue been a few big outbreaks of that the last couple of years and it is a sod but nowt you can do about it. NO cure just have to ride it out and hope that you don't get haemoregic fever and bleed out your eyeballs. |
