Hello all,
Anyone know of any good love motels near Suwon? I will be coming back to Korea in a few days and I will be needing a place to stay. This time around, I have a good contract but without the apartment. I think I'll be needing a good place to crash for a couple of weeks. I know this topic has been covered before, but I am not exactly sure where these places are. I just want something quiet, and comfortable with internet access if possible. Could someone please give me a good recommendation with good directions? I'll be coming directly the airport and will probably want to go directly there. Send me a pm!
Thanks so much. |

Where about in Suwon would you like to be?
There are a TON of love motels by suwon station (in and around the RLD unfortunatly). However its very central and close to all forms of transport - and the area isn't THAT seedy. |

There are loads of motels near Suwon Station and you can get a great room for next to nothing.
I would recommend Shangri La. I've stayed there a few times including a few days with my family after I got married a couple of years ago.
Go up the street opposite the Station. It's the pedestrian street with Paris Baguette on the corner. You have to go down through the shopping mall to get back up to ground level. Walk to the end of that street -until you reach a road with cars (about three hundred metres). Turn left and take the next right at a convenience store (thirty metres). The hotel is a few metres down that road on the right-hand side.
It costs between thirty and forty thousand a night depending on if it's a weekend or not. The rooms are modern with internet and wide-screen TV. The bathrooms are fantastic with two showers and a bath.
The only sign of it being a Love Motel is the dildo vending machine when you get out of the elevator and the thirty seconds of vibrating bed when you enter the room (5000 Won inserted into a machine will make it go for thirty minutes, apparently).
My family were really impressed with the place considering it was so cheap.
I've also stayed at another hotel for around the same price which had the famous "Love Chair" in the middle of the room. This was on the road just past Paris Baguette to the left. I can't remember the name but if you decide to stay there, be careful. Parts of the body can get trapped which can be painful, apparently. I, of course, wouldn't know. |

What do you mean no apartment? Are they giving you money to find an apartment yourself? Are you teaching or something else? |
