| Many post on here like they have courage and then kiss a_ _, rat on others, and whine non-stop. Oh, and don't believe what anyone posts about money. Almost everyone on Dave's makes 2.3, or less, and most spend it all in pubs. |

How would you know where most posters spend their money and what makes you think that almost everybody here makes 2.3 million won per month? |

I have yet to hear of someone getting fired or warned with being fired in Korea from what they post here (unless the person's boss knows the person's forum ID or is smart enough to put pieces together to find out that a particular post is about them or their school)- that's why it's not a good idea to disclose your true identity here.......it is not just because your boss MIGHT read the posts here, but your coworker(s) might be reading and they MIGHT be the ones to snitch on you.......remember, there's no honor among foreign teachers.......if there is something that one foreign teacher can use against another, they might use it to their benefit........
However, I know in Kuwait, there was a situation where a person who worked for the same company as me, but for a different school, posted alot of negative things about it and there was a huge witch hunt to find out who that person was there.....so the HR guy made www.eslcafe.com the homepage on his office computer......
Do I think Korean bosses monitor the posts here? probably.
Can they act on it? it depends on what is being about that particular school or boss. |
