|
|
If the letter of release is dated the 29th of Feb but the visa expires the 31st or March is it still possible to transfer to a new school between March 1st and March 15th or does the transfer date have to be on or before the 29th of Feb?
Basically after i'm released how long do i have to find another job and extend on my current visa? I'm hoping till the 15th of March or does have to be done while I'm still at my current employer? |

You're letter of release is supposed to be still valid when you make your application, so if I were you I'd go back to your current employer and ask for a new LOR with the space left for the release date left blank. You cana always fill in the date, once your ready to submit your visa transfer application. |

What kind of school are you transferring to? If it's a proper school (i.e. not a hagwon) you should be able to transfer before 31 March.
I had a visa valid until July 20, but my hagwon decided to close the program I was teaching in. Last week I got a new job at a private school (not a hagwon, a real school but not public). I went to immigration last Thursday with:
1. Letter of release from my old job
2. Signed contract for my new job
3. Business registration certificate for my new job
4. Certificate of sponsorship for my new job
5. Passport
6. ARC
7. 60,000 won
I not only transferred my visa but also extended it for a year, no CBC, no medical - sweet! |

Sounds cool.
Does it matter if you are transferring to another hogwon? |
