It's not that bad, just talk to the foreigners that work there before you sign anything. There's a contract posting thread here too.
Make sure you talk to other foreign teachers that work at the school, and make sure the foreign teachers that you talk to, are willing to tell you the negative side as well as the positive. I talked to one school where a foreign teacher was doing all the recruiting and would only talk about how great the school is. Later on when I was really getting interested in the school, I found out that the apartment was a 30 minute commute to the school everyday and the foreign teacher hadn't mentioned this until I specifically asked how far the apartment was. |
