|
|
I'm taking my girl on a 3 day weekend this weekend, and I want to find a NICE Hotel Room. Don't care where (I'm up for seeing a new part of Korea).
I've heard the Tomgi Hotel VIP room is plush, in another thread, for example.
I've stayed at the Seoul Plaza Hotel and other 5-star joints, and that's not what I'm looking for (because you're paying for the concierge and the marble lobby, too). I'm looking for a Korean Hotel or Motel, where the lobby is clean but plain, yet your room looks like a palace bedchamber.
A jacuzzi would be nice, for example. A real one, not a bathtub with four jets that shoot at you.
BUT, you all tell me the best rooms you've seen. Many of us have had the stylish room with a PC and big screen LCD TV for 35 or 40k a night, but I'm willing to drop coin for some luxury.
So what places have left their mark on your memories, folks? |

Luxury Love Motels are all over the city. 90% of them have pictures of the rooms for you to see before you go in. Look for an area where there is a bunch of motels together like jeongno 3 ga. Chances are there is at least one luxury hotel.
I usually take my girlfriend to a set just outside seoul in Anyang ( well uiwang to be exact) They have a great one we just discovered with king size beds, jacuzzis and huge HD flat screens on the wall. The cool thing is the computer is hooked up right to the tv with movies you can watch directly with surround sound. If interested in stepping slightly outside the city to one of theses PM me and I'll give you directions (there is also an amazing kalbi restaurant across the street from the hotels and a lotte mart for all your needs) |

Yeah, in Seoul, out of Seoul, doesn't matter to me. I live in bumfuck egypt and my girlfriend lives 90 minutes away in Busan. We want to go somewhere and explore a little, so I don't really mind where the location is, as long as its a swank, swank room I'm staying in.
I'll PM you.
I'd still like to hear everyone else's recommendations, too. |

I called Tomgi. You can't make a reservation for the weekend. First come, first served. Ugh. That's a gamble when you're coming from 4 hours away.
Nobody else has a nice place they want to mention? Or are these spots all secret? |
