What service are they on, and can they be used as pre-paid?

They're both on SK. They are on a contract, which I can cancel at any time. I'm looking into whether or not they can be changed over to prepaid. I'll post back on here when I get an answer

Just got word that you can take the phone into an SK store and ask them to switch the phone over to a prepaid plan.

sk has told me that their official policy is foreigners can have a plan, as long as they pay a 200,000 won bond.

you may need to go to an sk store to confirm this, small store front cellphone shops may not know or care. your best bets are yongsan and technomart, since lots of foreigners go there ...

sorry to crap on your thread, but i got my krazr for 50,000 with my plan. i guess 100k might not be so bad, if you want to use it prepaid or whatever.

i'd offer you 50k for the red one ... since i know someone who'd like a phone.

You will have to go into an SK store, not one of the shops like in Gangnam station where they sell the phone and you can sign up on SK, LG, KTF, Show, etc.

The price may be a little high, but everyone who has messaged me so far has asked about the prepaid plan. If you sign a service contract then you can get phones for free, but if you're on a prepaid plan then I really doubt you can get this phone for cheaper than what I'm asking. Plus, look at the quality of phone here: http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=114504 That guy is asking 50,000 and it looks pretty beat up. Mine looks virtually brand new

yeah, agreed, like i said, i wasn't trying to crap on your thread! Smile

i'm sure you think 50,000 is a lowball offer. but if you want to sell one at that price, i'd probably be interested.

good luck with the sale mate! Smile

Are you positive about that? I got word from my significant other that isn't as easy as it sounds.
