I'm a returning teacher about to make the Japan visa run under the new regulations. I just wanted to know if anyone has done the run since the new regulations have taken effect, and if there are any changes I need to be aware of.
Also, does it matter if I fly to Osaka or Fukoka? Is it possible to make the run in the same day? What documents will be needed?
Any help will be appreciated. |

Hey,
I am in Osaka now doing the run. Hand in the paperwork before 3.30pm and pick it up the next day at 11.30. I took in my passport, one passport photo, the completed E2 application, 6000yen and notice of appointment with a contract (or you can take visa issuance number). I have had an E2 before. There were others there doing the same thing. The capsule inn in Asahi Plaza is 3 min from the consulate and pretty cheap at 2700yen a nite.
