The homework essay that just got emailed to me from one of my 6th grade students:

Beware of the deadly fans. Never close the windows when you sleep.
These quotes above are the titles of the articles about fan death. The articles about fan death were written on every single newspaper last summer. It was written that two old men died because they slept with the fan on while the door and the windows were closed. Many readers got frightened of fans after they read the articles. However, the articles known about these fans are not true. The articles about two old mens death did not have an actual proof to it. Moreover, people do not die because of fans, unless there are molds in them. Thus, the article about fan death is totally wrong.
First of all, there werent any proofs to the fan death articles; they are not scientific, nor exact. Whether the article is true or not is not proved scientifically, which means the old mens death can be caused by anything else than just fans. They could have died of their old ages or of sudden heart attacks. Also, they could have died because they drank too much alcohol. Because the articles about fan death are not scientifically proved, people would probably recognize that the articles about fan death cannot be true if they think more logically about the articles.
Also, the articles are not true because fans cannot kill people unless they have molds. Molds are extremely unhealthy and bad; they can grow inside humans noses and make them sick. However, normal fans do not have molds; fans only have molds when they are very dirty or unwashed. Moreover, molds are not poisonous enough to kill people, and there were nothing written about molds on the newspaper. Therefore, it is not right to blame on the fans, because they did nothing bad to the old men who died mysteriously.
In conclusion, fans were not the ones who killed two old men. They were blamed as killers with no reason. Therefore, people do not need to be afraid of fans, since they cannot kill people.

10 bucks says this is just a case of a student telling the teacher what he wants to hear to get an "A".
