How on EARTH could you have paid 650 000 for this? It's a nice lens, but definitely not worth that much. I had this lens until my friend lost it with my 20d over a year ago. Like I said, it's a nice lens, but... 650K for new or even 450K for used one? In danawa the cheapest price for a new one (Canon Korea, comes with warranty afaik) 475 000.

Sorry to be the Spliff here, but you can probably sell it quite soon if you are happy with 280-300K. Good luck!

Umm... what body and L-glass you have now?

Harsh? Yes. And like I said, I'm sorry for being Spliff.
450 000 good price for a used 17-85? Unfortunately no. Not even with the warranty.

Canon lenses and DSLR bodies have worldwide warranties. I've heard that Canon Korea will not fix imported stuff, as they fall outside of the warranty plan. This is a reason enough for Koreans and those big noses who live here for a long time to buy from an authorized reseller.

But if you are like me, who goes back home quite often, and if something goes bad, you can get your lens/body fixed at home as long as you show the receipt and warranty card.

Anyway, it is a nice lens. Just keep it!

if anything goes wrong you can ship it to japan for repairs. warranty remains, just not in korea.

seoulfinn's comment was harsh but pretty truthful, too. if you want more than what's being offered/suggested. you might want to try selling it on ebay. that's what i did.

OK, after all the comments I have revised the price. 350,000 or best offer.

Please PM me with your offers/ridicule/outraged vitriol. I'm a poor wee sensitive soul, I prefer to be humiliated in private. And I like to be held afterwards.

Cheers,

~ smw
