So I've been using a phone for the past 3 months that was registered for me by a friend (We went together at the time) and I just paid the bills at the end of each month. Seems to work well. We planned to change ownership of the phone as soon as my ID was available. I took a little time to get around to doing it, but I finally got my ID a few weeks ago. I'm on a D4 Visa. I study at university, and pay course fees PER semester which means immigration only gave me a VISA that is valid until the end of the CURRENT paid semester. So the phone company won't accept my ID, because it's only valid for one more month. I told them it will be renewed every semester without any changes to the ID itself, but I don't know if they got that or not! So what can I do now? Do I need to pay for TWO full semesters in advance to get a damn phone registered to myself?
