So, I'm heading up North for my first jolly in the capital since I arrived 6-months ago. I need to find the location of the British Council building, but after that, I will have 24 hours before I have to head back home again and want to know what you think I should do/see while I'm there.

Oh yeah, and I don't really want to spend my time in some bar in Itaewon getting 5hitfaced.

Thanks in advance.

If you only have one day and you're looking to sightsee, i'd suggest the Insadong area. You've got palaces and a temple in easy walking of each other, plus good (if expensive) shopping and eating. You could also pick up a DMZ tour, which will take you out of Seoul but is worth seeing.

B.S.Dos., do you mind me asking which exam? Last month, I visited the British Council about three times for classroom observations during my CELTA course at the other center in Seoul that offers it. We observed intensive Intermediate 3's and a few other levels there. The instructors there were top notch. The center couldn't be in a better location, too. A guy named Ford and a woman named Leslie (or Louise) taught very good lessons when I visited.

I'll be sitting an exam (23rd April) as part of my MSc, which I'm studying through the OU (Open University) in the UK.

The OU have arranged (for 180) for me to sit it at the British Council.
