I have an important question. If I had depression in the past do I HAVE to include that in this application? If I leave it out will it be okay? Do they look down on that heavily in Korea?
The question on the form is:
Have you ever received treatment for Mental/Neurotic/Emotional Disorder?

| I think that 'No' would suffice. How honest should you be when the question shows so little understanding of mental health? Just because you were depressed once, does not mean that you are destined to a life of depression. I don't think that saying 'Yes' to the question would really benefit anyone at all. |

Just answer "No". What's a mental disorder, anyway? The questions are rather vague, not to mention intrusive.
Soon they'll be asking about how many times you've had unprotected sex, whether or not you enjoy bowel movements, who you vote for, and what your religion is. |
