Anyone heard of a recruiting organization called Eduorange? Or of Stephen Cho?

He was my first recruiter 5 years ago, I think eduorange is basically him and maybe one other person. Anyways I was placed in an okay school and he did the basics a recruiter should do, meaning he picked me up at the airport, introduced me to my new boss, and drove me to my new apartment. I think the most important thing is to get info on the school, since recruiters most of the time don't know much about the schools they are recruting for. Good luck.

Thanks. Are you familiar with Haddut Language School in Ansan? Near Jungang station?

Not familiar with it, but the first thing to do is ask Stephen if the school has a foreigner working there now and get their phone #.

I worked with Stephen/Eduorange, and the service wasn't bad. I unfortunately didn't accept the job that he offered me, but after having searched his name and recruiting agency, and having worked with him myself, I wouldn't stop anyone from working with him.

Again get info on the school THE RECRUITER WILL NOT BE YOUR BOSS. The recruiters job is just that to recruit you, it will be your school you have to deal with in the long run. So if I was you I would want info on the school, if there is no info prob means it's a new school and you will be rolling the dice on if it's a good or bad school.

I worked with Stephen way back in the day. He offered me a job at some hagwon somewhere outside of Seoul (I didn't know where it was at the time, but maybe it was in Shiheung?). The school was just opening up, the "gyopo" teacher probably just went to the US for vacation once, and the wonjang spoke nary a lick of English. When I turned down the job, Stephen seemed to get pretty irritated with me, saying something along the lines of "you've just made a big mistake and lost a great opportunity!". Having said that, he was cordial and picked me up in front of my apartment to take me to this hagwon. And he tried to answer all my questions. Overall, there are worse recruiters than Stephen Cho.

Stepen Cho is a good recruiter. He was mine and has been helpful from the visa process to the time that I've been in Korea. I would reccomend using him.

I dealt with him a couple years ago. He was friendly enough and I have no idea how are the schools he deals with because I didn't take one of the jobs he offered. But I do remember that he got really irate when I declined his offers. I hadn't lead him on to suggest I was going to accept them or anything like that. I just told him that I wasn't interested and would keep on looking for something else. He didn't like that and made it clear.

But he's not the only recruiter that I've seen act like that. Most are friendly enough even if you turn down a job. Not because they're necessarily nice people but because they may need you later on. Occasionally one loses it though.

If you dig up the past, you're bound to get dirty.

Is it just me...or does it seem quite likely that this is not Stephen, but in fact someone who really hates him?

Or if this really was some stupidity dressed as ignorance...in an attempt to be kind...hmm.

...at the end of the day, you are just as likely to be punished for your kindness.
(If that indeed was the intention...to be kind.)

Stephen got me the job I'm at now. The school is great, the contract was good and he took care of everything for me. Piece of cake..
