I will get the 2 week break for renewing my contract starting from mid-April 2008.
When should I get the medical in Korea? During that break?
I ask, because I believe I may have to visit immigration on May 1st to renew the contract.

Your two weeks is ostensibly for home leave. I had three months to get a medical.... |

Yes, you have three months from the start of your new contract (May 1?) to get the medical done. I certainly wouldn't be using a day of my re-signing 'home leave' to do it.
If I re-sign, I'll get my medical done during paid 'school time' when I come back and start the new contract.  |
