Make an attendance book for the attendees, and submit it to the principal each month. Give them tons of really hard work, and lots of homework, and submit the professional lesson plans to the principal as well. I bet you won't do it the next month. |

Nah they never come anyway.
Had one last year and they didn't show once.
All talk and no action
Fingers crossed.
Been an hour now of trying to construct the schedule.
It's all there and ready just taking forever for her to work it out.
Poor thing |

That happens to me, and it's annoying. If I'm scheduled, I plan. I'd make it clear that if it's happening, IT'S HAPPENING. No farting around wasting my time. |

Why doesn't she just plug in five hours of teaching KIDS after school? |

I just came back from my PS today and got the timetable for the upcoming semester. I teach at a pretty small rural elementary school and I will be teaching 10x40 min classes a week. What's the catch?? Is this a good time to head off to Kyobo and buy some reading material or will they "buff up" my work with extra curricular activities?
Does anyone have any experience of doing work/activities at a PS which aren't English related?
PS. I could be really cheeky and ask them to schedule all my classes on Monday and Tuesday (9am-1:30) then prep on Mon, Tues afternoon and take the rest of the week off^^ hehe... |

Come on... nobody can whine about 22 hrs.
I've been scheduled for 22 hrs./week since 'day one' at my public school. However, with: sports days, field trips, exam days and a myriad of other 'general' cancellations (for whatever reason), the 22 hrs. in reality becomes an average of 15 hrs./week... some weeks more, some less. I love public school. |

Yeppers. I've been teaching 22 hours per week since day 1. However, I taught 6 classes at a 2nd elem school. Administration has decided to mess with my schedule and canceled my classes at the 2nd elem school. SO, they are adding 6 extra classes at my main school. What kind of classes??? Hell if I know. I don't even know who my new coteacher is yet! hahah i love administration sometimes. |

Just look at your teachers classes as a way to get to know your co workers better, after a month most will be to busy to attend regulary, and to be honest 22 hours is just about right, any higher and you are going towards burnout and anything lower is a bonus. |
