Any of you wise souls know where i could get a power converter/adapter for my South African laptop(3 prong plug) in South Korea? Tried the local areas in Gonju but alas no help was forthcoming.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

The only place i've ever seen the SA 3 prong plug is in SA. So your out of luck trying to get an adapter.

BUT Korean 2 prong plugs are the same as the 2 prong plugs we use in SA. So on your power cable for your laptop you should be able to unplug the part which connects from the wall to the transformer. Then just buy a korean "kettle cable" to connect from the wall to your transformer - and it should work no problems!

You won't need an adapter. Just buy a new extension for the brick. They use the same 2-prong plugs as we do - I am South African. Or buy a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter in SA.
