|
|
So today my Korean gal pal tells me how she cleared up her skin problems. She mixes 8 lemons with a bottle of soju and lets it sit for 1 month. Then she uses it as a cleanser/toner. She says her family thought it was really weird at first but after trying it out they now all swear by it.
As peculiar as this sounds it might actually work. Both lemons and alcohol are astringents so they should, in theory, be an effective measure to fix oily skin.
Anyone keen to give this a try? Note: my pal said that at first it dried her skin out (as you'd expect) but after regular use she now has blemish free, super soft skin. |

I heard the same thing. I asked why not just using rubbing alcohol and thats supposedly too strong.
I dunno, I have my doubts too. |

Nope. Alcohol is the key ingredient so I doubt that the brand or strength would make much difference. |

i really doubt it, there are so many people with acne problems over here and i'm sure they all want to do something about it. So why haven't they tried it yet? |

Ascorbic and ethanol combined as an astringent... well damn, it just might work! |

I call Shenanigans. No way would a bowl of lemon soju last a month in a Korean household.
