I hear there's a market near that stadium but I couldn't find it yesterday, anyone have some decent directions? I'm looking for fabric. Much appreciated! |

It's not near the stadium, it's near the gate.
I'm terrible with subway exit numbers, but Dongdaemun station (line 1 and line 4) and not Dongdaemun Stadium station is the one you want. It's the big building west of the gate between 종로 and 청계천. |

Its so big its hard to tell you were it is. Go to Dong Dae Mun Gate, there will be a large white building on the west side of the gate. Thats it, a few blocks to the west along the river. the Stadium is south of the river, the fabric market is on the river's north side. |

easy to follow directions. Go to Dongdaemun station (not staduim) go out exit 9 and walk to the big building called Dongdaemun shopping town. Then get lost in the maze of fabric stalls. I seriously went in there a few times and ended up coming out on the other side of the street super confused. Oh and it isn't open on Sundays and places start closing down around 3pm on Saturdays but some places stay open till 4ish, the bead places on the 5th floor stay open later. I think the latest I was ever there was 5:30. Not sure about weekday times cause I've never been able to go then.
Have fun. |

Would it be possible to plan a field trip sometime soon? Looks like some posters here know their fabrics, while others (-->me) can speak some Korean and generally navigate the maze. I can only do Saturdays, however. Any interest? |

They won't do em for you. Buy a couple bags of synthetic stuffing and do 'em yourself. Took us a few hours to do two.
You can get the stuffing on the second floor of the building mentioned earlier. |
