Does anyone know of a place to buy cheap furniture around Gangnam. I need a coffee table or something to eat my dinner off. |

In Bangbae 방배 there is a big furntiture district. Go to Chongshin University subway station (also known as Isu station, located on the light blue line) and just about any exit will put you somewhat near a furniture store |

Could also try the place in Itaewon near Noksapeyong station, that isn't too far from Gangnam. You won't find shit in Gangnam proper, that place is stupidly overpriced. |

There are several furniture stores near Hanti subway station, but yeah, Gangnam is overpriced. You'd be better off finding something on the Web. |

Go to Ahyeon station and the furniture market. They will all deliver that day, or the next day. |

a used furniture store opened about a year ago in daichi dong - they have loads of stuff - I just bought an excellent used (huge) couch and matching chair for 150,000 won - is awesome -
here's the directions -
get off at seollung station, exit number 1 - go straight maybe 10 minutes. you'll see a dunkin donuts - keep going - then there's the dongbu financial building on your right, it's set back from the curb a bit, nice building, big plaza - turn right at the corner there - that's just BEFORE the posco building, very famous place, by the way.
keep walking straight - you'll see a hill looming up ahead - walk up the hill and keep going - you'll pass a small police box on the right. keep going until you come to the intersection with the traffic light - there's a convenience store on your left. turn right at this intersection and stay on the right hand side of the road.
keep walking another 5 minutes or so - you'll pass a small grocer on the right - the store is just past the grocer a bit - it's also set back a ways from the street - there will be furniture out front also - there are big windows so you won't miss it.
one of the guys in there speaks pretty good E and they also have an upstairs section.
their stuff is very reasonable and actually cheaper than the place in haebonchon a lot of folks go to - but they might charge you a bit of a delivery charge if you are far away.
good luck! |

Hmmm, kind of hard to describe. Do you know Haebongchan at all?
You go out exit 2 of Noksapyeong station, go straight, go through the tunnel, keep on going away from Noksapyeong station, go straight across one street, go on a little past an IBK bank and turn left into one of the alleys and you'll see if near the Philipine restaurant (Manilla Bay). |
