With all these recent threads, K MILF, Don't do it boys...
Obviously there are oponents of both sides for Kgirls.
Recently I had an interesting conversation with one of the male teachers in my school..
Like Korean culture dictates everyone has to know if you're married have kids, dating, etc.
I said I have no time to women, and in reality I don't. I am a gym rat, I fell in love with a sport and my motorcycle. I left Canada for many reasons, one was because my heart was riped out of my chest by my fiance ala, Temple of Doom style.
I am happy being single. I like it.
Now try to explain that to a Korean..
The reply was: You should change your hobbies so you have more time for a woman.
Why? I asked I don't want to have kids and I don't want to be married I like traveling and generally I am trying to fix issues with my self. I am not ready to go back to the game yet. Plus I want a girl that likes me for me and not who I pretend to be, if I change what I am doing now I will be miserable.
His reply was: Be miserable, your a good looking guy.
WTF???
Must be a Korean way.
Any who with the dating luck I have had here even if I had time I wouldn't get any where. |

This is an honest answer. I believe the mistake was entertaining the subject to begin with.
Whenever a Korean, other than my principal, starts a sentence about dating, or anything else, I either change the subject with a noticeable lack of subtlety [you know, like a Korean] by stating that anyone who tells me what I should do has disqualified themselves, or I just leave.
If I wanted a critic, I would have married her! |

No time for women. Spends lots of time at the gym. Had a fiance. I think we get the picture. |

Well to the OP, as I'm sure he already knows, for about 99.999% of Koreans marriage and kids is an absolute must- even if they don't want to.
One of my closest Korean friends got married and had a son just to s h u t * his parents up- they wouldn't stop nagging him about it.
He didn't want to get married. He hates being married, but his family just wouldn't leave him alone about it.
Older people and those in power positions believe it is their duty to constantly tell younger people and subordinates about what they "should" be doing. Even if the person has the gumption to say they don't want to or are not interested they care not. They are totally compelled to tell them to do it. This is especially true about marriage and kids.
Like someone else said, if the topic comes up, just do your best to change the topic.
* I wasn't aware that "s h u t" was a swear word that needed to be filtered! This swear filter doesn't work very well! |

hey OP...sorry to hear about your home misfortunes. Happens to alot of us in one way or another. I think it is a good experience personally because it really helps you see more clearly and to find that true one.
There have been alot of fellas on here flacking K-birds. I think that some of them are either not getting any or they are just getting too much and dont care about women as a whole.
I adore my girl and she is nothing like these fellas are making Korean women out to be. Not in the least!
But to counter act what ESL'er is saying here would be the equivalent by Koreans saying all waygooks are drunks, druggies, pedophiles and are here to use Korea for all the above and get in on the chicks!
Oh but wait!!! There are some Korean girls that are pretentious biatches who are only out for money and a baby....so I guess that means there are some waygooks who are drunks, druggies and pedophiles?
Point being, meet someone first and make your assumption after instead of before. Alot of you will look less stupid.
To the OP, you will find her (can i assume your a lad). Just take your experience and roll with it brother...
all the best

I'd say that's a fairly decent reaason for staying single. Just be sure not to spend too long out the game. It is fun after all.

If more Koreans decided not to have kids, then maybe there wouldn't be +44 million people in the country the size of Indiana. |

Your close friend sounds like a real great guy. Brings a kid into this world he doesn't even want. |
